    Can you give an actual answer to this question?

    I just purchased the Pro version and need to upgrade from the free version. I know I can upload the theme ZIP file and install it that way, but I’m afraid of alterations to my site in doing so. I want to be absolutely certain I do it the correct way so it’s seamless and does NOT cause any loss of the appearance or data of my current site.

    The site appearnace will not disappear but you have to add the data. As the functionality is different.
